Chris founded ESP Legal in 1996 and has guided the firm to become the most trusted legal staffing services company in the U.S. Prior to joining ESP Legal, Chris spent 18 years working in technology, holding several sales and management positions with Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys), NBI, Inc., Syntrex, Inc., and Equitrac Corporation. Fifteen of those 18 years, Chris was providing technology solutions, including word processing, networking, time and billing and cost recovery systems to the legal marketplace.
Currently Chris is involved with all aspects of placements in the legal marketplace and is a California Accredited Consultant (C.A.C.). He earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Gustavus Adolphus College.
With over 35 years of experience serving the needs of law firms, Chris has led ESP Legal to become an effective provider of technology, litigation, and attorney staffing solutions for legal industry clients. By specializing in the legal market, Chris believes he and the team at ESP are able find the uniquely perfect fit for his clients and candidates. He's found that nothing is more rewarding than helping a person advance his or her career while at the same time finding a great person to help a company achieve essential business objectives.
Always looking forward for the next business evolution, Chris is pursuing national opportunities for ESP Legal's services and expertise and recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee to help facilitate that growth. He was also recently elected to the ILTA Partner Advisory Council (PAC) for a two-year term representing the basic membership category. He is excited for the opportunity to help smaller legal vendors get more involved with ILTA.
When Chris is not at the office, he loves the water and can be found on a kayak or stand-up paddleboard. He also enjoys reading historical novels on his Windows tablet and loves to barbeque on his smoker. For over ten years, Chris served on the board of directors for Child Guidance Center and served as president of the board for two years. Having a stepson with Down Syndrome, Chris is now active with special needs causes and activities.
