Welcome to the first ESP Legal Technology Staffing Newsletter. ESP Specializes exclusively in Technology Staffing for the Legal Industry. Since 1996, we have been successfully placing Legal Technology Staff in Los Angeles and we have recently expanded to cover San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and New York. This newsletter is designed to share technology tips/trends, career advice and of course current technology openings. | |

The first step in finding a new job is creating the right Resume. You may have the strongest technology skills of anyone in your industry but if they aren’t reflected correctly on your Resume you won’t even get an interview. | “Technology is a professional Industry requiring accuracy and attention to detail. Make sure your resume reflects that same level of professionalism.” |
Length: The question we get quite often is should my resume be limited to one page? In the technology sector, the answer is usually “No.” Nor should a resume be longer than 2 or 3 pages. |
Detail: A resume should reflect all of your current technology skills and when you used those skills or the years of experience with those skills. A manager reading your resume wants to know how long you have used a specific technology and in what positions. |
Accuracy: Resumes should also be accurate and reflect the correct dates you worked for prior employers. In today’s world expect that you will go through an extensive background check that includes employment verification. And last but not least, please proof read and proof read again your resume for spelling, typos and other formatting errors. A resume should be the best reflection of you and your skills so make sure the first message you send to an employer is that you are detail oriented. |
